Magritte ventured into printmaking only at the age of 63, and due to his premature passing at 68, he had a limited output in this medium. Kaplan and Baum's catalogue raisonnée of Magritte's graphic works includes a mere 20 pieces, with only 6 of them being printed directly from lithographic stones or copperplates that Magritte personally worked on. Consequently, 'Les Bijoux Indiscrets', print holds significant importance in the artist's oeuvre.
