Yaacov Agam’s 'Lines and Forms' (1983) is a striking example of the artist’s exploration of movement, rhythm and optical perception. Executed as a tall, narrow composition, the work sets sharply contrasting lines and geometric forms into a dynamic arrangement, creating a powerful sense of visual vibration. The restricted format intensifies the effect: rather than presenting a static image, Agam invites the eye to move continuously through the composition, discovering shifting relationships between line, colour and space.
